More of the fines could get dropped, according to a lawyer. How many have actually been paid, and/or prosecuted in court?
According to the story – out of 155 charges, only 17 have been paid and the majority are seeing court dates delayed until fall, when they are likely to be dropped.
People were afraid to get tickets, so the tickets themselves did the trick to scare the public into compliance, without even trying to enforce them….or were they even enforceable ? This article suggests that they were and are not – thus the delays and dropping of some of the charges.
