Lockdowns have been deadly for Canadians

July 20, 2021 by Regina

Many people have been saying that the cure is worse than the disease, including Maxime Bernier. Max has been leading the anti-lockdown campaign for the Peoples Party of Canada. While Max Bernier is certainly not the only leader in this regard, he stands out as the only leader of a federal political party with the courage to take this stance.

Read this report by True North News, refers to Statistics Canada figures which tell the awful truth:

In a report titled Provisional death counts and excess mortality, the government agency reviewed the number of deaths between January 2020 to April 2021 and concluded that 5,535 Canadians under the age of 65 died because of “indirect consequences” due to the pandemic.

Over the same time period, 1380 Canadians in the same age group died because of COVID-19 itself.

“Beyond deaths attributed to the disease itself, the pandemic could also have indirect consequences leading to an increase or decrease in the number of deaths due to various factors, including delayed medical procedures, increased substance use, or a decline in deaths attributable to other causes, such as influenza,” the report says.

The PPC will never implement lockdowns, or promote them. In fact we will actively discourage them. A PPC government will not financially bail out any province that wants to implement lockdowns. The Trudeau government has done this, while encouraging lockdowns. Also, none of the so-called “opposition” parties have objected strongly to these harmful lockdowns.

Only a PPC government will prevent future lockdowns, which have been proven harmful and ineffective in stopping C19.

Where are the children buried? The TRC report

July 6, 2021 by Regina

This is the actual report done by Dr. Scott Hamilton, from the Dept. of Anthropology, in Lakehead University, Thunder Bay, Ontario. Dr. Hamilton did the study. Here’s the introduction. Click on the link to read the entire report. It’s important to know the history and see the facts about what happened.

Introduction
This report addresses the question where deceased Indian Residential School (IRS)
students are buried. This is difficult to answer because of the varying circumstances of
death and burial, coupled with the generally sparse information about Residential School
cemeteries. It requires a historic understanding of school operations that contextualizes
the patterns underlying death and burial. When documentation is insufficient, this
historical perspective also aids prediction which former school sites are most likely to be
associated with cemeteries. Also important is identifying the locations of the former
schools as precisely as possible (an issue complicated by the fact that some schools were
rebuilt in various locations under the same name), and then seeking out physical evidence
of a nearby cemetery (or cemeteries). In some cases information is readily available, but
in others there was little to be found in the available archival documents. In those
situations attention shifted to an internet-based search, coupled with examination of maps
and satellite images. This report concludes with recommendations how to address the
gaps in our current knowledge about school cemeteries, and how best to document,
commemorate and protect them.
This report represents a collective effort. Alexandra Maass initiated the research by
gathering information from disparate sources, and preparing reports for schools with a
reported cemetery. Scott Hamilton authored this report with input from Doug Smith.
Hamilton built upon Maass’ work by developing a historical interpretative context,
documenting the location and condition of Residential School sites, and searching for
evidence of cemeteries in maps and satellite imagery. The satellite imagery derives from
either Google Earth™ or Birdseye™, the latter through a Garmin™ subscription service.
This imagery is internet-based and available Canada-wide. Downloadable imagery of
sufficient quality is a relatively recent phenomenon, and is not yet of uniformly good
2
quality throughout the country. That being said, much of it was of surprisingly good
quality, with resolution of 2-5 metres or better. This allowed ready visual interpretation
of larger ground features, and also cost-effective examination of school grounds located
throughout Canada. Once the area of interest has been identified, a more comprehensive
examination is possible by purchasing higher resolution satellite imagery from
commercial vendors. Hamilton’s work focused on the surviving documents, and did not
involve contact with First Nations, churches that operated the schools, or municipalities
within which the schools are now located. As addressed more fully in the
recommendations section, building upon this foundation with locally based research
initiatives are the obvious next steps.
In effect, this report offers an overview and ‘gap analysis’ to suggest where further
research is required. It is divided into two parts. The first part (represented by this report)
is a general overview, with specific schools used to illustrate key issues associated with
IRS cemeteries. The second document is a more substantive resource that summarizes
each school’s location and construction sequence, duration of operation, and reported
cemeteries. It includes maps, sketches, photos and satellite images, detailing the former
school properties in as much detail as is currently possible. It also identifies ‘information
voids’ where we either do not presently know the school location, or have not been able
to identify a cemetery. This evaluation of current knowledge should be used as a starting
point for seeking local knowledge to confirm or correct it, and as a catalyst for dialogue
how to protect and maintain IRS cemeteries with their many marked and unmarked
graves.

Happy Canada Day from Regina PPC

July 1, 2021 by Regina

We have lots to be thankful for in Canada, and we should celebrate our country on this occasion.

Thanks to our crew of volunteers who handed out pamphlets and water bottles to thirsty people in Wascana Park. It was a hot day, and we made a good impression with people. Although there weren’t any scheduled activities going on, there were quite a few people in the park, and it was a great way to raise our profile and spread some good will.

A few of the people who helped aren’t in the picture, just because of the timing of when it was taken. We have some good volunteers who have fun getting out and talking to people about the PPC platform and values.

We want to add you to the team. Check the volunteer page and fill out a quick survey to help us find a spot for you.

Jumping to conclusions – Residential Schools

June 29, 2021 by Regina

The residential schools are a very sensitive issue. Media is reporting about ‘mass unmarked graves’, implying mass murders and bodies dumped into pits. In fact, the grave sites also contain bodies of teachers and staff, along with students who attended the schools. Many of the sites were abandoned many years ago, so deterioration of wooden crosses may lead a person to wrongly assume they were never marked.

This is very misleading. The media know that the Truth and Reconciliation Committee has studied the residential schools in depth. Their reports are publicly available information to anyone who chooses to read and learn.

Of course the media knows that the public is mostly ignorant of the reports and their findings. So they just report anything, and people believe it. Some have forgotten about the TRC, and most have never read any of the reports.

its very sad that so many indigenous children died while attending the schools. According to the TRC study, tuberculosis was the main killer, along with Spanish flu. No cures were available so these diseases killed many people of all races. Indigenous folks immune systems weren’t adapted to these foreign diseases and they died at a higher rate. It was a tragedy.

After the TRC reports, apologies have been made, as well as financial compensation. It’s a sad part of our history, but we need to accept the past, forgive and move on.

The PPC will help address indigenous issues by abolishing the Indian Act, which is a prime example of what people might call systemic racism. We will treat first nations like all Canadians, and give them autonomy from a big government that wants to control their lives. We will build a new relationship based on mutual respect.

Read our PPC Indigenous Policy here: https://www.peoplespartyofcanada.ca/indigenous-issues

Read the article below and the related TRC link in the article. It’s important information which puts things into the proper context – which almost never happens these days with msm reports.
